graded pass/fail. This semester we will be using a brand new, exciting textbook designed specifically
for this class called Practically Magic - A Guide to Electrical and Computer Engineering.
The book will be published by Kendall Hunt and be available by August 2010. There will be no tests and the
grading criteria will be based on lecture attendance and participation
in take home lab projects.

Hands-on Lab Projects
This will be a unique seminar/introductory class because we have designed 10 lab projects
to help familiarize you with the topics we will cover. To see what
topics we will cover and to preview the labs,
click on schedule.
These projects are meant to be fun,
last less than an hour, and can be completed almost anywhere – even in your apartment or
dorm room. In some of these labs you will work with an assigned group of students. Our
hope is that you will make new friends and learn from each other during these exercises.
